The Demon's Covenant is the sequel to The Demon's Lexicon. Mae was always in control, but suddenly everyone she trusted is lying--and in danger. (Goodreads)

Dark, witty, brilliant, sprinkled with romance and full of plot twists, The Demon's Covenant had me spell bound to it's story until I finished reading it.

The Demon's Covenant is from Mae's point of view, which I love. Mae is one feisty character, whom I just adore. There's no shortage of snark when it comes to her and she definitely needs it. She's on a quest to save her brother Jamie from Gerald the Magician. When she seeks the help of Nick and Alan, things heat up, as she becomes more torn between them and soon realizes she's the only one who can help each of the brothers. Something's happened between the brother's and they're not saying what happened. Through the course of the book, you really get to know each of the characters, as their true selves are revealed and I couldn't help but fall in love with each of them. While each has their strengths and weaknesses, some of them have to face their fears in order to save the ones they love. Loved ones will be lost and relationships will be tested as new alliances will be made in the fight against the Magicians.

Sarah Rees Brennan has written a sequel that I am totally in love with. The Demon's Covenant was a thrill ride that I didn't want to end. There's no shortage when it comes to emotion from laugh out loud moments, to ones that will break your heart. Sarah definitely lives up to her, "When in doubt, kiss it out" motto. I really enjoyed getting to know more about each of the characters and being swept away in their world of Magic. There's so many good twists and turns in this book, that I couldn't figure out what some of the character's motives were until the were revealed towards the end.

This is one of my favorite squeals. It's a thrill ride that had my fingers glued to the pages as I couldn't read this book fast enough. I am already waiting to ready the next book in this must have series. Be sure to go grab this awesome sequel to The Demon's Lexicon TODAY!
