City of Bones Wins Georgia Peach Book Award for Teen Readers

Cassie just tweeted that she received this award from the Georgia Library Media Association. Here's the background on the award itself:

The purpose of the Georgia Peach Award is to highlight and promote the best current young adult literature for Georgia high school age students, to encourage young adults to read and to promote the development of cooperative school and public library services for young adults. Teens vote for their favorite books out of the year's top 20 nominees at their high schools and local public libraries.
What an honor for Cassie and City of Bones to be recognized in this manner. We here at Mundie Moms couldn't agree more with the stated goals:
To encourage Georgia young adults in grades 9-12 to recognize and read quality literature appropriate to their needs, interests, and reading levels.
Congratulations Cassie!!

Heidi R. Kling's SEA -- Book Trailer

Well, we've been waiting for this for what seems like so very long. And thanks to the very talented Vania of Vania's Life Captures, we have an incredible view into SEA.

Heidi is holding a wonderful contest on her blog for all her Blue People, check it out here. I think most MMs are going to repeat this trailer a few times and then run to make sure they've pre-ordered SEA before it's release date on June 6th.

Mundane Monday #28

Happy Monday!

...."But God knows, I don't want anyone but you. I don't even want to want anyone but you." He reached out, trailed his fingers lightly through her hair, his fingertip brushing her check. "Now at least I know why."
Clary's voice had sunk to a whisper. "I don't want anyone but you, either."
