I don't know about you guys, but I can't get enough of these photos that Cassie keeps posting. They're beautiful.

Tessa
I'm in LOVE with Tessa's masks. Cassie told me via Twitter the mask is one she had bought in Venice.

Blog Tour & Review: Damned (Crusade #2)

4.5 stars: I Really Enjoyed It

There is a fine line between love and sacrifice….

Antonio would do anything for his beloved fighting partner Jenn. He protects her, even suppresses his vampire cravings to be with her. Together, they defend humanity against the Cursed Ones. But tensions threaten to fracture their hunting team and his loyalty—his love—is called into question.

With an even more sinister power on the rise, Jenn must overcome her personal vendettas. Antonio and Jenn need each other to survive, but evil lurks at every turn. With humanity’s fate hanging in the balance, they must face down the darkness…or die trying.

A thrilling, action packed sequel with heartache and a great paranormal romance, this is one series that keeps getting better and better. I love the world building in this series. It's rich, well detailed and of course dark. The feel for this sequel is one that's intense, twisted and darker than Crusade. The characters continue to become more in-depth, and surprisingly a few of them are handed a fate that's a little shocking and heartbreaking.

I like that Nancy and Debbie aren't afraid to break their characters, or put them situations that emotionally grabbed me and made me feel their uncertainty, worry, doubts and their fear. This title definitely lives up to it's name for Antonio, Jenn and the gang. Oh man the things they have to endure this time truly showcase how crucial this war is for them. I'm really trying to remain optimistic for the team as the series continues, because this war has claimed a few casualties, and left the team in a world of uncertnntiaty.

It might be mean of me to say this, but I liked that this story's romance between Antonio and Jenn has conflict, struggles and of course love. Nancy and Debbie create this relationship that is full of love and twist it so it has this impossible odd for it to turn into a fairy tale romance. I like that it's not always an easy going relationship and they really have to work at it, even with everything that's against them, they don't give up. Jenn continues to amaze me with her strength and Antonio, oh Antonio has much to deal with.

If you're a paranormal fan, I highly recommend this book! There's such a fabulous cast of paranormal characters that I've really come to like. They're relatable, likable and enjoyable to read about. There's plenty of action, and twists that kept me hooked and a richly detailed and well written story line that left me wanting more. This story is both heartbreaking and hopeful, engaging and fast paced. I highly recommend picking it up.
