TMI Movie News: Filming Day 6 & the Movie Score has a Composer!

It's week 2, day 6 of filming! Not many pictures surfaced today, as pictures were restricted from the set. I am excited to report that the club scene is being shot and reported the blue hair demon was spotted on set. I for one am really looking forward to this scene on the big screen. I can't what they do with it.

In other news, Cassie took time out of her busy schedule today to answer a few burning questions from fans about the movie. Here are a few of those questions and answers:

To answer a question about the movie sound track Cassie had this to say:

I’m guessing you’re not talking about the score — the score is the instrumental music composed for a film. In this case the composer is Gabriel Yared who won an Oscar for The English Patient. I’m guessing you mean the pop songs that often show up on the soundtrack to a film — as for that I don’t really know, but it’s early in the process to have begun selecting songs. Usually the director would want to be able to watch at least a rough cut of the movie and get a sense what songs would fit and where.

There's been a lot of concern over Jace sporting the fearless rune, which we know doesn't appear in the series until City of Ashes. Here's Cassie's answer to a fan asking her about the rune being in the movie:

Many many many sharp-eyed fans have written me about this! The “the fearless rune didn’t exist in City of Bones” conversation was actually had a while ago, but movie mistakes happen. They did tell me it could be fixed in post production though so I am not so concerned.

Cassie reposted an on set picture yesterday from the film, which filmed the club scene! I know, it's exciting and later this week on the extras will be stopping by MM's to talk about her experience and the scene. I can't wait! Now back to the post.... originally posted by City of Bones Movie, they had this to say, which is quoted from here:

This just in from the on-site Toronto peeps:

Iron Fey Blog Tour: Iron Legends by Julie Kagawa

I am thrilled to be the next stop in Kismet's Iron Legend's Tour. Today's stop will not only focus on one of Julie's novella's, but it also features a HUGE giveaway! I'm thrilled to be on the Summer Court. Now I know many of us would choose the Winter court as our favorites, because of Ash. There is nothing wrong with picking Ash, but the Summer court also has a lot to offer.

So that's talk courts. When I first started this series my heart belonged to one court, but then as the series evolved I found myself changing courts. Don't get me wrong, I'm Team Ash, but in all honesty it would be a little hard staying in a place over run by ice and ruled by a stone cold Queen. Being that today's stop is part of the Summer Court, I'm going to talk about that court for a moment.

Summer Court:

I'll totally admit I'm a big supporter of Team Ash, but before there was Ash there was Puck. Puck's that friend you always want to have around you. You know the kind that's always upbeat, makes you laugh, brings you up when you're feeling down, and at times is home to you. He's warm, comfort and happiness. He's also someone you know whom will always have your back. With Puck you have a loyal friendship, and someone you can always count on. Really the only thing missing from our court is Ash, right?! *coughs*. I'm just saying, if you're going to pick a court you need fellow fey you have it all together, and judging by all we've read about Puck, you know he'd be a lot of fun to hang out with! Plus it's the SUMMER court. Who doesn't love Summer. It's warmth, dancing, laughing merrily, late nights, and having fun.

Winter Court & Iron Court:

Winter Court, the opposite of everything cheery, sunny and warm. Not that a little bit of cold wouldn't be nice. I love a cold day, but I don't know if I could take that much cold day after day. If we're being honest here, the only reason I would pick that court is because of ASH, but since he's with Meghan, I would have to say pass. This leads me to another fascinating court, The Iron Court, aka where Meghan now rules over. Aside from the guys, you have to admit that Meghan is one amazing heroine. She is the heart of the Iron Court and she's someone I have really come admire. She's beauty, strength, fearlessness, and loyalty. She'll do whatever it takes to protect those she loves, no matter that cost is. She's a leader, she's smart, independent, and she's not afraid to ask for help. Plus I love that fact she falls for the forbidden guy, and really not just any guy, Ash. Who can fault her right? It would seriously stink being stunk in that one court, which again leads to point out all the fun you could have in the SUMMER COURT.

With the tour, each stop is focusing on a different Fey book, and today's feature is Summer's Crossing. I really enjoyed this novella. You can read Sophie's review here. Let me tell you a little bit about it, just in case you've not had a chance to read it.

A Midsummer's Nightmare? Robin Goodfellow. Puck. Summer Court prankster, King Oberon's right hand, bane of many a faery queen's existence—and secret friend to Prince Ash of the Winter Court. Until one girl's death came between them, and another girl stole both their hearts.

Now Ash has granted one favor too many and someone's come to collect, forcing the prince to a place he cannot go without Puck's help—into the heart of the Summer Court. And Puck faces the ultimate choice—betray Ash and possibly win the girl they both love, or help his former friend turned bitter enemy pull off a deception that no true faery prankster could possibly resist.

Three Iron Fey novellas for the first time in print!

About the Author:

Julie Kagawa was born in Sacramento, California. But nothing exciting really happened to her there. So, at the age of nine she and her family moved to Hawaii, which she soon discovered was inhabited by large carnivorous insects, colonies of house geckos and frequent hurricanes. She spent much of her time in the ocean, when she wasn’t getting chased out of it by reef sharks, jellyfish and the odd eel.

To pay the rent, Julie worked in different bookstores over the years, but discovered the managers frowned upon her reading the books she was supposed to be shelving. So she turned to her other passion: training animals. She worked as a professional dog trainer for several years, dodging Chihuahua bites and overly enthusiastic Labradors, until her first book sold and she stopped training to write full-time.

Julie now lives in Louisville, Kentucky, where the frequency of shark attacks are at an all-time low. She lives with her husband, two obnoxious cats, one Australian shepherd who is too smart for his own good and the latest addition, a hyperactive Papillon puppy.

Mundane Monday #151

Happy Monday! It's week #2 and day #6 of the TMI Movie Filming! Today they're filming the club scene!! I can't wait to hear about this scene. Guess what, a lucky TMI fan who's an extra in this scene today will be stopping by the blog later today to tell us about her experience. I can't wait! Have fun today Cristina!

In honor of filming, each Mundane Monday will feature a quote from City of Bones while filming is going on. Enjoy this Magnus, Jace, Clary, Alec moment...

"Oooh, a Shadowhunter," said the vampire. "Scary." With a wink he melted back into the crowd.

"Vampires are such prima donnas," Magnus sighed from the doorway. "Honestly, I don't know why I have these parties."

"Because of your cat," Clary reminded him.

Magnus perked up. "That's true. Chairman Meow deserves my every effort." He glanced at her and the tight knot of Shadowhunters just behind her. "You on your way out?"

Jace nodded. "Don't want to overstay our welcome."

"What welcome?" Magnus asked. "I'd say it was a pleasure to meet you, but it wasn't. Not that you aren't all fairly charming, and as for you-" He dropped a glittery wink at Alec, who looked astounded. "Call me?"
