BEA: Cassandra Clare Signing & SIGNED City of Bones Movie Tie-In GIVEAWAY

The night after the TMI Movie Party (which I posted about here with a giveaway), Cassie signed the movie tie-in edition of City of Bones at BEA! Tickets for this event went fast. Some fans told me they started lining up before 6 am to get them. Those are dedicated fans!

One of the things I love about going to a Cassie Clare signing is being able to help out during the signing. This not only allows me the chance to meet a ton of fans, but I get to see the looks on the fans's faces when they meet Cassie for the first. Check out the priceless look on this fan's face above. I love it! 


There were over 200 tickets giving away, and because tickets were given out by BEA earlier then they were suppose to, Simon & Schuster were generous with the additional few copies they had of the book, and gave them to fans who stopped by to say hi to Cassie after the tickets fans had gone through the line. 


When ever Cassie and I are together for her signing we always take a vote for which of her characters are a fan favorite from the city we're in. Normally Jace wins, though when we first did the tallying Magnus won in Austin (I'm so proud to be from Austin). This time around in asking fans which fan they liked the most the majority said WILL! YAY WILL!!

It was so great getting to meet so many of Cassie's fans. Huge props to those who stood in line to get books signed for their Mom, kids, teens, teachers and librarians.

    Luke. He reminds me a lot of Luke from Gilmore Girls. Not just in name, but the fact that he is always there for Clary and her mom.

    My favorite character from City of Bones is, well, it's a tie between Jocelyn and Clary. Jocelyn reminds me of my mom and Clary reminds me of me (and some of my friends)!

    My favorite character... mm that's a hard one! i'd say Magnus and Simon, i dont know why, i just loved them since they first appeared. Amé como fueron creciendo durante todos los libros, como se fueron desarrollando y cada vez siendo mas importantes en la historia.

    My favorite character from City of Bones is Simon. I love the fact that he's a nerd, because I love comic books and geeky things, and we have a lot of things in common. I also love his sarcasm and sense of humor. He's an amazing best friend to Clary, which makes him even more endearing. He could've walked away from the Shadowhunter mess in the beginning and he probably wouldn't have turned into a vampire and had his life turned upside down, but he chose to help his friend instead.

    My favorite character must be Isabel. She makes me laugh every single time.
    She can be tough yet sensitive like all girls and I really
    can find myself in that character. She doesn't need guys to defeat evil
    and that sets a great message for girls out there.
    She migt be my favorite character of every book i've ever read.

    Actually, I adore all the characters. BUT I love Magnus and his humor. He can make me laugh even in the most dire plots. Humor is always a strong plus when reading. I love Jace as well. He is a little bit sweet and a LOT narcissistic. Which makes you love him bcos you get to see his emotions behind the smart remarks and it's those smart remarks that makes him the bad boy. The one guy every girl wants, but wants them to be good to her. :)

    My favourite character is probably Clarry and Izzy. Why? Clarry just fights for what she believes in (and most of the time it's totally right) She's a strong girl who grows up up during the series. And Izzy is totally badass but a beautiful human being. You cannot do anything else except love her.

    Magnus and Alex I know Alex may be stubborn but these two are a PRO but then you also have clary and jace those two are just amazing as well Simon as well just because he just loves clary from the start and he's just an amazing character to the storyline

    Clary is m favorite! She went fro naive to shadowhunter considering all the circumstances she faced. She became a strong female lead.

    Oooh.. Hard choice. I'd have to say, aside from the main cast, Jocelyn Fairchild. She goes through so much just to protect Clary and even other children. She cares about what's happening and tries to help even when she's trying to distance herself from the Shadow Hunting world. She's strong to the point that she realizes she'll never escape it and that it's important to Clary. So why not help where she can?
