Top Ten Tuesday: Ten Places Books Have Made Me Want To Visit

This weekly meme is hosted by Brokeand Bookish

Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is Ten Places Books Have Made Me Want To Visit. There are so many fabulous worlds I've "visited" in books that I would love to visit in real life. My list consists of places both fictional and nonfictional, is listed in no particular order. Here are a few of the places I'd love to visit:
  1. Any one of the fantasy worlds from my favorite fantasy/urban fantasy series. Yeah, I know, that's a broad list, but I can't narrow it down.
  2. Victorian England - I am obsessed with history, but there was something in the way Cassandra Clare described Victorian England in her The Infernal Devices series that makes me wish I could go there and visit. I'd choose to go visit Victoria England in a time that Will was there. *coughs*
  3. Scotland - I've always wanted to go to Scotland, but since reading Outlander it's only fueled that wanting that much more.
  4. Ireland - I love a book with a rich Celtic lore, and love a beautiful written Irish setting. Like with Scotland, this is a country I've always wanted to visit.
  5. Narnia! Ever since I first read The Chronicles of Narnia as a kid, I've wanted to go. I'm just saying that I found a wardrobe like the one in the book, even as an adult I might be tempted to open it up and crawl inside just to see... I know Sophie would up for this!
  6. Paris- There are a few books that I've read that have made me want to visit this place. All I'm going to say is Gargoyles.
  7. Any of the worlds from Maria V Snyder's the Study Series, Glass Series or Hearler Series. I love Maria's series.
  8. Mytica from Morgan Rhodes's Falling Kingdoms series. I LOVE this series, and there's something intriguing about the world Morgan has created that hooked me from the moment I started reading Falling Kingdoms.
  9. The outdoors! I love a setting that either takes me to the mountains or to the beaches. There's something about an outdoor setting that I love.
  10. Dragons!!! Seriously, how cool would it be to visit a place with dragons? Now I wouldn't mind meeting a few dragons if they were like Sophie Jordan & Julie Kagawa's dragons, were they could "live" in our world too.
  11. Okay I cheated and added one more, Hogwarts - Even though I still have not read the entire Harry Potter series, this is a place I would love to go visit.
What are some of the places books have made you want to go visit?
