Happy Weekend! Welcome to this week's edition of New To My Shelves (previously known as In My Mailbox (IMM) / Stacking the Shelves (STS) or My Weekly Round Up in the Stacks. I LOVE this series! I read it back when Samantha had self published each one. Being the book nerd that I am, I finally purchased my second copy of this series, because of the new covers. It's not like you can't have too many copies of your favorite series, right? To my surprised (and total honor), I discovered I was quoted on the back of all three of the books! To say I fangirled over this is a huge understatement. I am so flattered over this. Thank you Samantha!!

Yesterday I attended the Austin Book Fest (which was a ton a fun, and is mentioned in my weekly round up post here) and picked up a few goodies:

Thank you
Thank you to Chelsea Fine, Harper Teen, Simon & Schuster, Bloomsbury & Random House for this week's fabulous reads!

I'd love to know what goodies you received this week. Please leave me a comment, along with a link back to your post.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a lovely Sunday!

Weekly Round Up: The Divergent Movie / The Austin Book Fest Addition

Pictured are: K.A. Tucker, Cora Carmack, Amy w/ YA Sisterhood, Chelsea M. Cameron, Chelsea Fine, Heather Self, KP Simmons, myself, and Vilma from Vilma's Book Blog.

Happy Sunday!! I hope y'all are having a lovely weekend. Have you seen Divergent yet!?!?

This movie kicks some ya book to movie adaptation hiney! You can read my glowing review for the movie here. That night was a ton of fun. I met up with a few friends to go see the movie (see the picture above), whom were also in town for this weekend's Austin Book Fest. We had so much fun! This movie was fabulous!!

Yesterday I attended the 1st ever Austin Book Fest, which was hosted by my friend Vilma, over at Vilma's book blog. If you're looking for some great new adult, adult books to read, she's a great blog to check out, here. There were a ton of authors there. I was thrilled to see a few YA/NA adults there like Chelsea Fine, and Heather Self. I picked up a few new books from authors I've heard great things about, which you see in my New To My Shelf post here

I just want to put this out, that there are some fabulous new adult and adult books out there. I think all too often people get turned off when the subject comes up about these books. Sure some of them are smutty, but there are a lot of fabulous NA and A books out there that aren't, that I enjoy reading. YA is my main focus, but I do enjoy picking up a good new adult/adult book, hence why the MMs Guilty Pleasures blog started. Don't let the word New Adult or Adult scare into thinking all books that fall under these labels are ones you'd hide if your mom came over. But, these books are definitely ones for mature readers, which is why I don't feature them here on Mundie Moms.

Okay sorry, I got off subject. Back to yesterday. I was really excited to meet new adult/adult author Molly McAdams. Her books are ones I've featured on the GP blog, along with Jay Crownover, Cora Carmack, both of whom were also there.

Molly McAdams, myself, and "Kash" aka the cover guy ;)

Chelsea Fine, "Kash" and myself

Cora Carmack, myself, and Brittany from YA Sisterhood

I'll have a more depth recap of yesterday's book fest and a giveaway later this week on the Guilty Pleasures blog. It was so great seeing some familiar faces there and meeting new authors and bloggers.

Here's a quick recap of some of the latest happenings here on Mundie Moms, Mundie Kids and our GP blog.
